Areas of interest
Heterogeneity in melanoma pathogenesis, specifically concentrating on the roles of gene expression, signalling pathways and epigenetic regulation in metastatic potential. I developed the phenotype switching model for melanona progression (see http://www.jurmo.ch/work.html).

Bioinformatics and systems biology, particularly the analysis of large datasets obtained through high-throughput gene expression studies. I wrote the Heuristic Online Phenotype Prediction facility (see http://www.jurmo.ch/hopp).
