December, 2013

We travelled down-under (via Singapore) to see my family and enjoy a bit of warm, sunny weather in Australia. For Christmas we were with with my parents in Ninderry (south-east Queensland). We spent the New Year in Sydney with Sarah and Richard, where Richard had graciously invited us to once again watch the fireworks from his family's apartment at Darling Point. After this we drove south to visit my brother Jason and his family in Ulladulla and spend a few days with Keith and Sue at their (very new) home in Lillipilli south of Batemans Bay. Our last week was back with my parents in Ninderry.

Most mornings in Ninderry we would wake very early (thanks to a kookaburra chorus) and get to Coolum Beach before 5.30am. There we would go for a run along the sand and then have a swim in the sea. Often we were the first people in the water (which was always warm). After exhausting ourselves with bodysurfing we would have some coffee in the sun and be back in time for breakfast in Ninderry. Awesome.
