We travelled to the Canary Islands, specifically Tenerife, to spend a week with four friends (Lara, Martijn, Toby and Emma). Leila and I hiked and explored the island while the others went climbing. All six of us walked up part of Mt Teide (the central volcanic peak). We also visited Diego and Teresa in Santa Cruz, who are friends from when we were at Yale. It was lovely to see them again, and to meet their children.
